Mist pumps increase the pressure of a misting system up to 1000
psi, the misting systems performance can be improved by up to 300%. This is
accomplished because at these higher pressures, the specialty misting system
nozzles are able to atomize the droplets from 1/10th to 1/50th the size of a
line pressure system. These smaller droplets will not only evaporate quicker
and provide much better cooling capabilities, but the system will produce 40
to 50 times the number of droplets which will further improve the
effectiveness of the misting system.

The Fogco Certified Series pump range includes an enclosed pulley driven
pump design and the use of components that have been tested and approved by
Underwriters Laboratory (UL) for safety and are listed under the UL ‘Motor
Operated Water Pump’ classification file number E201777. The units are also
CE certified for distribution within the European Union. This is the only
pump range in the industry to maintain these two certifications.
This range provides a patented enclosure design that isolates all soft
plumbing within the housing to prevent electrical short circuits. This
design also contains an exhaust fan to eliminate heat build up within the
housing. The Certified range incorporates the use of our highest rated
industrial duty motor and bare pump combination. and comes equipped with UL
listed and CE certified components including an electrical inlet solenoid
valve to allow for control of the water supply when ever the unit is turned

The Fogco Premium Series pump range includes an enclosed pulley driven
pump design with the added feature of a low flow safety switch. This
component ensures safe operation of the unit and prevents premature failure
due to low water supply or high system by-pass. This pump range also allows
for manual remote operation of the pump without the need for any additional
electrical components.
As an added feature, the Premium Series pumps are also available with an
electrical inlet solenoid valve. This valve allows the pump to be turned on
with any standard remote control equipment adding further convenience to the

Do misting systems require maintenance?
As with any piece of equipment, there are some important maintenance issues
to consider. The heart of any misting system, the pump itself, can last for
many years as long as they are taken care of. The primary maintenance for a
misting system pump is to check the oil and change it each year.
The only other maintenance consideration for a typical misting system is
to periodically clean the nozzles and to drain the system each winter to
prevent freezing.
Do I need to do anything to my misting system during the winter?
To prevent freezing and damage to the pump or the misting system, all of the
misting system nozzles should be removed. The misting system line, the
misting system pump, and the filtration should be drained.
These misting systems are designed for the 'do it yourself' consumer.
